When, after a while, September rolled around, we'd go back into the country towards Kameshtashtan, and then to Mushuau-shipu (George River) if the caribou could not be found. There's a place called Kashukutakepinants...Also, towards Mishta-nipi, you'd always find caribou swimming across the lake, and you would chase them in canoes. There were no rifles, but we used muzzle loaders, black powder guns, and spears. You'd chase caribou and stab them with spears. It was really hard work.
