No, we never had [husky] dogs before. We used to pull our gear on sleds. We walked and pulled sleds to Mishta-nipi and Kaushetinati and even to Nain to get groceries. It is a long walk, even much harder when the snow is deep and soft. Atim-utapanashk^u (komatiks and dogteams) are only recent since we started using dogs.
