Description:

Caribou skin boots made from three shaped pieces; moccasins (approximately 2 high) sewn with sinew to instep pieces and to legging which is sewn up the side. Piece of skin (approximately 6″ long and 1.5″ wide) joined to top of legging on one side. Red, blue and yellow paint applied with stencil in parallel lines around upper portion of boot, down side seam, around moccasin and on instep. Geometric figures drawn between these parallel borders.
